Came here in a group of four for after work mid week dinner. The dining area is pretty cool and it connects to a sister restaurant with the kitchen in the middle servicing both establishments. A good setup for them but it did mean a bit of a wait for our food and when it arrived, although it looked and smelled fantastic, at least half of the dishes were lacking in flavour despite the impressive list of ingredients. I can only put this down to a mistake in the kitchen, likely forgetting to properly season some of the dishes. They did look extremely busy. I may return to give them another go though despite this because everything else was pretty decent.

I really enjoyed this visit. Atmosphere was great, dimmed lights, music and amazing service. Be prepared to spend just that bit more to test dishes. We treid the Elotes and Chips and Guacamole as starters. These were amazing, I really loved the Chipotle Mayo on the corn, the corn chips and guacamole was a great conversational snack and always something you can't pass up. As our main, myself and my guest shared the flight of 4 tacos. Myself personally trying the Fish Taco and Steak, the fish was perfectly cooked and the pickled cabbage complimented amazing. The flour taco itself was a great size and cooked perfectly! My steak taco however was cold, if you don't like very rare meat, you wouldn't like this dish. My guest tried both the Steak and the Bean taco. She loved the flavours that worked together in both! I tried their house Margherita and was really impressed, for $14 it's a great size for Melbourne and great balance of tequila and juice! Overall, we were impressed with the $80 spend for the both of us and would definitley go back to try more!

Can't believe I've never been here...super relaxed Carlton joint with fantastic drinks and even better food...try the Mezcal taster great value and a really good way to try a variety of different Mezcals...the fish tacos are the best for me but the beef and pork ones are incredible too...do yourself a favour and check it out...you won't be disappointed
